"text": "Extremely disappointing checkout experience that exposed the real service culture behind the branding.\n\nOur Goa Miles cab was not allowed inside due to local taxi issues, and the hotel is located 300 meters inside on a broken road. I was with my wife and heavy luggage and requested help from a corporate staff member named Himanshu (from Delhi). His response was dismissive, irritated, and he walked away without offering any assistance.\n\nThis is not about facilities—it’s about attitude. Hospitality is defined in moments when guests need help, not when everything is easy.\n\nIronically, a local staff member at reception, who had no obligation, showed real professionalism and helped arrange a vehicle through another guest. That single act saved the situation.\n\nAlso worth noting: broken WC in the washroom and basic essentials like paper tissues missing in the restaurant.\n\nThe founders should seriously review who they put on the frontline. One indifferent employee can permanently damage the credibility of a hospitality brand.\n\nWould not recommend based on this experience.",

"text": "Very bad experience with The Social Stays Morjim. 😡 We had booked a stay there, but when we reached the property there was no vacancy available. Still, the staff made us wait for almost 3 hours near the check-in time saying the stay would be arranged.\nLater when we asked for a refund, they refused and said that according to their system we had already checked in by scanning a QR code, which is completely unfair. We never actually stayed there but still had to pay the full amount.\nOverall a very disappointing and frustrating experience. I would not recommend this place. ❌",

"text": "We booked The Social Stays for a week-long workation for our group, hoping for a peaceful and productive stay. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations.\n\nTo begin with, the property is located about 500 meters off the main road, and the connecting path is extremely narrow and muddy. Reaching the hotel itself was inconvenient, especially for larger vehicles.\n\nOnce we settled in, we quickly realized that mobile network connectivity was almost nonexistent. Only Airtel users could get a faint signal, and even that wasn’t reliable. The biggest drawback for us since we were here for work was the Wi-Fi. It was highly unstable, often showing full signal strength but no internet access. And when it did work, speeds rarely crossed 10 Mbps. This made remote work impossible, forcing us to find and work from a coworking space outside the property from the very first day.\n\nThe property also appears to be short-staffed. Our room was not cleaned regularly, which we didn’t mind much, but it’s worth noting for anyone expecting prompt housekeeping.\n\nOne of the most concerning issues was the hygiene of the swimming pool. The water was not chlorinated, nor was it changed during our stay. We even saw frogs in the pool on multiple days. It was unsettling to imagine guests using this unmaintained water for swimming.\n\nHowever, the worst experience occurred during the last days of our stay. Water supply to our washrooms suddenly stopped during the night. We informed the property owner first thing in the morning. When the staff tried to start the borewell pump, it burned out. With guests anxiously waiting to use the washroom, the staff made an extremely unhygienic decision: to pump water from the swimming pool into the washroom tanks. Using untreated, visibly dirty pool water in taps was simply unacceptable.\n\nWe refused to use this water and had to request help from a neighboring hotel, which kindly allowed us to use their washrooms for free. Although we had already booked an extension for another night, we canceled it immediately after this incident.\n\nOverall, while the property might have potential, the lack of proper maintenance, unreliable connectivity, severe hygiene lapses, and poor crisis management made our stay very disappointing. I hope the management seriously addresses these issues for future guests.",
